Our Renewed Therapy Program offers personalized ABA and IBI therapy supports from our Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA) and Instructor Therapists who use Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to assist children, youth and adults in developing various skills. With the support of our Clinical Team we aim for the individual receiving our support to reach their potential!
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach based on principles used to teach various behaviours that are socially significant which help to improve the individual’s overall quality of life. It is used to teach desired behaviours and remove or reduce challenging behaviours. ABA can be used for any individual to address significant behaviours to any group of persons with varying abilities. It is not restricted to individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
To ensure the needs of the program are tailored to the individual, we provide a free consultation to identify goals as every person is unique. We collaborate with the family and individual needing support and put a program in place that is best suited for the personal growth and development.
Our Clinical Team which consists of: Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) and Instructor Therapists are available throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Sessions can take place both in the individual’s home and/or in community settings (i.e.daycare) according to the needs of the individual.
Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) is a treatment program that targets a broad range of developmental areas. It seeks to improve key learning skills in the areas of: cognitive, language, social development and much more. It uses the principles of ABA for treatment but the main difference is the level of intensity. It requires a minimum of 20 hours of therapy support per week.
ABA is an evidence based treatment approach for individuals with autism spectrum disorder as well as individuals who have varying developmental disabilities. It addresses key areas of development that will help the individual progress and gain independence in their home environment and their community.
We believe therapy is most effective when provided within the individual’s natural environment where family members or other persons involved in the individual’s life can be directly involved. Individualized plans are created to assist in the individual transitioning into the community, school and/or work settings.
Our Clinical Team uses evidence based treatment to build new skills and reduce or remove challenging behaviours through the use of:
